Life and Trigonometry

Isn't life like (or is) a sine graph.

Got ups. Got downs.

The only difference is our wavelength and amplitude =S.

P/S: Applies to living a Christian life too.

St Patrick 90th Anniversary Celebration

Nostalgia. A longing for the past.

Nostalgia is the one feeling i hate the most. Even jealousy, vulgarities, arrogance, ignorance, annoyance i can tolerate. But not nostalgia.

It's the 1 word i felt the most when i paid RM100 for the mediocre foods to attend my so beloved St Patrick school's 90th birthday dinner.

I had in mind, my past memories - St Patrick Kindergarden, St Patrick Primary School then St Patrick High School.

Thats 13 years of my life man!

I cried, enjoyed, made friends, made enemies, fought with teachers, loved by them, gave embarrassing speeches, monitor the school, broke the rules, received awards, dropped academically, sucked at sports etc.

To sum up, its a heck of an experience. How can i not love my school? =P

Going to the dinner was all about anxiety for me and my friends, Ivy and Angela. We were basically too anxious to know who are we sitting with and who can we meet in the dinner.

Well, not much of our friends can tolerate the price =) so basically it's us three on Table #80 facing 7 apeks old graduates in front of us,

and a whole bunch of current students at the back

We honestly felt stucked.

Stucked in between these 2 generations. Didn't know which genre are we classified in. Almost too young to be an alumni but too old to be a student.

Rebecca, you saw yourself in that picture? =) I seriously missed the time where me and my friends can just wear baju PJ and fool around together. Acting stupid, gossiping, planning to drink bubble tea etc. **Deep sigh**

**stops being pathetic**

Ok, so the dinner started with speech from "i honestly dono who is that guy" and who else but Suzzana~ CIKGU~ Suzzana

And more boring speeches

The students made so much noise during the speeches. Ha~ typical me =)

Then for the Opening Ceremony.

Yea, the balloon didn't fall as planned. Gosh, if only the whole net of it falls on them. HA! that will be so worth the 100 bucks! Joking.

Then, more and more slide shows on the school's history.

Honestly, Thank You =). Especially Mrs Ching. Great principle, yet widely misunderstood.

Then it was testimonials from students and teachers. Friends that I know ^^ kinda happy to see them. Forgot what they said. They said all those normal speech like I love this school blablabla and I think...

Tan Kwan Lu: **blush** Kenin is like soooo cute, huhu.** blush**

Chong Nyuk Siong: "Kenin ah, yea sucks not so good at sports one"

Chew Mei Ying: "Owh that mischievous prefect a? Haha"
Tina Wong: "erm...yea~"

Cheong Tye Ming: "My goodness, Kenin so hopeless in seni"

Georgie: "Kenin~~~ Kenin~ grow so much d haha**harsh voice**".
Classic George =) Love him.

Then, it is unbelievably a time for the school song!!! And all of us have to stand and sing. The old and the new song.

The new song, well basically was sung the best as students were so energetic =) So me. Haha.

Then on, it's all performances. Boring ones. Good ones.

No idea what they were doing. Rebecca, what are they doing?

The band, erm erm erm...they erm ...

Waa...the blue shirt guy memang semangat.

Skype with important St Patrick-ians who couldn't make it to the dinner. High tech-nya haha.

This was where the party really started. The most entertaining band of the night.

Was so entertaining, the scenery couldn't get any prettier.

There are more spots actually. Sorry lah. Camera too lauya d. Just multiply it by 2 or 3 =)

Wonder what that is?

Students handphone lights!!! Man, students are either too rich now or handphones are too cheap.

At that moment when i saw the million lights waving in the air, supporting the ex-St Patrick-ian band performing, I honestly felt the great spirit of St Pat. Indescribable =)

I didn't burst into tears la. I was too busy getting jealous because i couldn't be with the students acting crazy with my handphone T.T

The party to me was really spoiled when these 3 kids come out -.-

The boy still ok la, he got dance a bit. But those 2 girls stand there like bamboos waving their legs. Plz la, dowan dance don come out la -.-

Love in any language. Forgot she led worship before in St Pat church. Annie right her name?

The Dikir Barat was good. Not until they performed for 30 minutes! At least!!! Can u imagine the kompang bum bum bum bum bum~pang parak pang parak pang the whole half an hour!

Then cut cake.

Issit me or Mr Tung (current principle) looked desperate to hold the knife? Haha!

Then, it's the so controversial, fashion Show. Kenneth Vernon Fashion Show.

Kenneth Vernon: Son of Cheong Tye Ming, Ex St Pat Student and KL fashion designer. Talented.

Why the controversy u say? Well, look at the dresses:

Great design. Underage models. Wrong audience.

The fashion was great and entertaining for me. Not exactly supermodel status like

Alessandra Ambrosio,

Gisele Bundchen or

Tyra Banks.

Of course.

But if you consider the fact that they are students,

Consider the fact that my camera isn't the Paparazzi's camera

Consider the fact that no retouching was done,

Considering they have studies, peer pressure, self insecurities, etc etc

I think...my photo taking skill not bad o !!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

**cough**

I mean...they did pretty well. Heck, i wouldn't have the guts to catwalk in front of nearly 1500 people 0.0...

So I say, good job all of you student-models =)

The night was over basically.

Friends I met: Wen Kie, Zhi Xiong, Kim Loong and some that we know but we tak kenal. Haha.

Teachers I met: Puan Sharon (add maths), Puan Wong (BM), CIkgu Fanny (Fizik), Cilkgu George (Form 1 Sains and Pengawas Teacher ) ^^

The night ended pretty badly.

Kinda made me realized that friends have all changed =) All scattered with different ways, different perspectives, different friends, different gangs.

Different lives =)

Just a fact that I will try to swallow.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

10 years from now! 17.07.2017 is the 100th birthday for St Patrick!!!

It will be SOOOOOO GRAND!!! I will be 30 by then >.>

Feeb, Gab, Rebecca, Mary, and all my life long friends, with God's grace, I expect you all to be there =)

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

be [THANKFUL] and praise God in all circumstances

The animal activist in me

I just encountered this fairly disgusting method (unfortunately) some Asian people prepare their "delicacies"

Presenting to you 1st, the

ZOMBIE FISH

Why cut the fish in that manner you say? Well basically it's to preserve FRESHNESS for customer's satisfaction. The fish is carefully sliced by a chef master for its meat without killing it. Then returned back to the aquarium for latter purposes.

Not disgusting enough?

Then it's the infamous

Sichuan "Cooked alive fish"

Well, if you couldn't get a picture of this dish. Just imagine the mouth of the fish moving while customers poke their chopsticks into the already cooked fish meat in the body part.

To prepare this dish. A towel or whatever is used to cover the fish's head. Then the entire REMAINING body part of the fish is deep fried.

Leaving the fish to be semi alive~ semi dead~. Then for the sake of "Fun" i presume. The fish is served within 30 minutes to customers which is ample time for customers to savor upon this "delicacy" with delight that the fish is dying and gone in half an hour.

If you seriously wanna know more go to here and here.

I understand that Chinese people eat basically ANYTHING...but doesn't this seems a little too over? To actually make the creature's suffering prolonged?

Would u want people to slice your meat then let you free~ or deep fry ur lower part of your body then serve you to a bunch of cannibals?

I can seriously hear the fish saying

"Just take a gun and shoot me now"

"Do not merely believe that those around you are lost, and be[CONTENT] with that"

KL / Kelantan Trip

This is a story of a sakai name Loong. Sakai Loong.

Once upon a time, this sakai name Loong "has never actually been" to KL for the whole 20 years of his life. And when he actually heard the news that he will pass KL to Kelantan then transiting again in KL before returning home, he is drop dead happy ^^.

Sakai Loong reaches KLIA and was soooo thrilled to look around the very beautiful, award winning airport.

Sakai Loong heard this news from Benet that there is a place call "Viewing area" where one can actually see airplane traffics in KLIA and he went straight looking for it. Signboards everywhere direct Sakai Loong to the place he described

"The Camp-able place in KLIA"

Sakai Loong, of course, saw many many airplanes.

A330 vs B737

A330

B747-400 & A330

And soon enough, its time for Sakai Loong to board the plane to Kota Bharu, Kelantan for a 50 minutes smooth trip.

Sakai Loong's mother ^^

Sakai Loong went straight to the hotel. And was instantly horrified because the hotel was incorporated in the ugliest color ever - Purple. =P

That aside, Sakai Loong was too tired to bother. What do you expect after u fly Tawau-KK-KL-Kota Bharu in less then 12 hours?

Without wasting more time, Sakai Loong and family went for a brief walk to understand the very famously labeled state of Malaysia as the Muslim governed state. And of course, spotted a few things that were different.

It's a very long day for Sakai Loong. He went into extreme hibernation.

On the next day, Sakai Loong and his mother went for a tour around Kelantan with a taxi driver. To Sakai Loong's horror, Kelantan actually HAS temples. As in Buddhist temple. And he went to a total of 4 temples and 0 mosques. The temples were undeniably beautiful and Sakai Loong couldnt resist but to post all the pictures anyway.

The biggest sleeping Buddha in Malaysia

It's true when they say as proud as a peacock.

Sakai Loong really enjoyed watching and embracing the magnificent piece of arts.

Disclaimer: Sakai Loong is not converting his religion and is also not promoting Buddhism in whatever manner.

Sakai Loong is soooo gonna miss Kelantan's Thai imported fruits. Extremely nice. Also the Lekor.

Then it's time for Sakai Loong to transit in KL for a memorable 2 days shopping marathon and leave Kelantan for good.

Sakai flew back to KL and was extremely tired after all the shoppings and flying and unpacking.

In total, Sakai went to 6 shopping centers in 2 days.

Sogo - Boring, mediocre and flooded with people
Suria KLCC - expensive, nice and classy.
Mid Valley - Nice, huge, wide.

Ikea - LOVE IT! would buy the whole store if only he is Sakai Trump.

Ikano - Love the Pet safari shop.

The Curve and the Walk - nice nice NICE! Happening!!

Sakai spent RM300 for taxi in 2 days. Bought 2 formal shirt, 2 shirts, 2 boxers =P and 1 Nike shoes.

Aside from shopping, Sakai too went to national landmarks like the Twin towers of course.

Sakai spent quality time embracing skyscrapers.

And indulged in several fine diningS only to be found in major cities.

Dunkin Donuts

Secret Recipe - Banana Chocolate and Cappuccino Cheese. EXCELLENT!

Apart from the shopping marathon, Sakai too went to tourist spots like Aquaria KLCC,

Sting-ray

Turtle embryos. Not ET.

Scariest, biggest frog Sakai has ever seen.

And was wondering, what does land creatures have to do in Aquaria KLCC

Sakai hoped that the Arapaima opens its mouth and scared the crap out of the little boy. Classic.

Errr, whats his name again? Jordie or whatever.

New species: Aqua Sapien (Sakai, 2007)

Sakai thought that Aquaria KLCC was mediocre with RM28 as entrance fee. Not to mention the comparison with Singapore's Underwater World.

Then, Sakai went to Zoo negara. Yes, Sakai deeply regretted.

Drink Enfagrow.

Sakai was so afraid the elephant farted.

At one point, Sakai saw a sign board and the conversation goes.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sakai: Mummy, what does the signboard mean?

>.> (Ape Center)

Sakai: Ah pei center???

Mummy: =.= It's ayp (ape) center.

Sakai: o, ok.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sakai Loong was seriously considering his 2nd year University Student status and think he is so sakai enough to take up the position of the Grandmaster Sakai.

So, time in KL for Sakai is over. Sakai wished he had been to 2 places that are SkyBridge KLCC and One Utama. That leads to the planning for the next trip. All Sakai can take now is his airplane memories.

All of them ^^.

Eva Air B747, Mas A330 and 747 tail

B747 Eva Air and Saudi Air

Saudi Air

Sakai's favorite pic: Mas A330

What a great way to end a memorable trip.

In honor of the Grandmaster Sakai,
Sakai Loong.
